Welcome back to the Rivers-Edwards family. Last chapter, they had a baby boy named Pine to make a family of 4. Marty started having an affair with Jasminder, the neighbor and family friend.
Let’s say hello to the family again…
Family sitting down to watch television together before getting busy with their own lives.
Noisy neighbors, looks like Arun is having fun but they are keeping Pine awake and no one wants a cranky baby. Marty pounds on the door and Arun comes out. Marty is angry as it looks like Jasminder and Arun are trying to work on their relationship..
Marty heads over in the morning to see Jasminder and finds out that she died. She died of anger when Arun confronted her about her affair with Marty. At least that’s what Arun says..
Arun yells as Marty saying that he hopes he loses his family too. Marty wonders if she actually died of anger or if that’s just what he told the cops and others.. Marty doesn’t believe she’d be angry if Arun found out, as she planned to leave him. But there is nothing that Marty can do about it or is there?
Marty accuses Arun of killing her and the two have a brawl in the hallway of the building. Arun becomes Marty’s enemy, instead of friends. Marty believes Arun had something to do with Jasminder’s death.
Edna yells at Marty for his behavior with Arun. She feels like he ruined the friendship with the neighbors and giving them the idea that he isn’t as good and nice as they’ve tried to show the neighbors. The story they had allowed the community to believe, let their kids have a normal life, now that won’t be the case.
The family tries to move forward and figure out what’s best for them. Marty has much time to think about his life and what he wants.
Marty and Edna talk a lot and even though he was honest with Edna now, she’s not sure where their relationship will go. She still loves Marty and lately the connection has been getting better again. Now that Jasminder is not in the picture. It’s like Marty finally realized where his loyalties and love should lie – with Edna and his kids… But it will take some time for Edna to trust him again. Is Marty ready to do the work to build this relationship back? Only time will tell on how these two reunite.
The engagement has been called off for now, and Marty can understand that. The two are still trying to make it work for the kids and they still love each other. Edna wants to love and trust him again but she’s not convinced that’s for the best.
Little infant Pine is learning and playing a lot. He’s such a sweetheart! Edna taught him to sit and it’s allowed him to start getting into EVERYTHING!
Sage is brushing her teeth a lot to get the loose tooth to fall out. She really wants the money.. She makes 83 dollars from the tooth fairy!
Marty has stepped up and spending time with the kids, especially Pine. He’s growing up so fast and needs his father more and more.
Pine has aged into a toddler. He didn’t get a cake as no one had time to make one before work. He won’t remember that but they’ll need to make him one next time.
Pine is a clingy toddler, who loves sounds. He is a picky eater and can be quite aggressive when playing or not getting his own way.
Big boy Pine learning and growing! He loves to eat peanut butter sandwiches and bath time is fun!
Noisy neighbors on a school night. Sage goes over and politely asks to keep it down, but no one listens until she yells.
Marty and Pine have a Permissive relationship. Marty does allow Pine to get away with almost anything.
Edna spamming money out of people she doesn’t know. Manages to make hundreds of dollars asking strangers for money.
Sage met Karmine through Jayden, she is his BFF. Sage invites her over for a play date. She wants to get to know her more since she’s friends with Jayden too. Sage maxes her social skill while talking with Karmine.
Family time spent at the Spice Festival. Pine stays home with a sitter as there isn’t anything for toddlers to do. The rest go out and have some fun, they try the spice challenge and fail. Marty plays guitar for money even if he’s not suppose to. He likes to break the rules.
Edna came home from work feeling smothered and that the relationship is a little too messy for her. She’s been trying to keep it together for the kids but she’s not happy. She can’t get pass the betrayal and hurt, even though she wants to, especially now…
She’s ready for him to leave and start their separation, but he doesn’t take it well. She breaks off the relationship with Marty. They decide to stay in the house together until Spring Time Fun holiday is over. So the kids can have a good day before Marty moves out.
Spring Time Fun Day is here! Sage decorates the house with spring decorations. She does this as a fun surprise while everyone else is sleeping.
Flower Bunny visits and talks with the kids. Pine is a little scared of him but manages to say hello. Edna bakes cookies and Marty teaches Pine how to talk. It’s a fantastic and fun day for the whole family.
Edna has been so happy lately that she’s become cheerful instead of hotheaded. This is a big change for Edna and makes her think about what other changes are needed in her life.
Edna has some news for Marty.. There is a new baby on the way. She knew for a while but thought she should share the news with Marty. This doesn’t change the plans for him to move out. Marty wants to be part of this child’s life too. Edna says that he can be involved as much as he wants, just like the rest of the kids. He is still their father even if their feelings have changed.
Edna sits down with the kids and talks about the new baby coming and that their parents are splitting up. Sage has more questions and concerns than Pine. He doesn’t understand too much what is going on, but Sage is sad to see the family split instead of getting married.
Marty moves into an empty apartment in the city. Not too far away from the family. Edna doesn’t want him living across the hallway but next building over makes sense.
Marty and Edna go to court to discuss the custody arrangement for the kids. She’s hoping that both kids stay with her.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work out that way. Marty was given custody of Sage and Pine will remain with Edna. Edna is sad to see the kids split between homes and sad to say goodbye to Sage. They need to work out some arrangement so the kids see each other too.
Lawyers decided that since Edna was keeping the house, that Marty would get most of their savings for his new place. This leaves Edna with 2000 dollars if anything comes up.
Sage’s birthday celebration! They decide to have it at Edna’s as it’s bigger and the other place is still getting set up. Marty and Edna thinks it’s best for her to have all her friends here. Happy Birthday Sage!
Sage is a perfectionist and a friend of the animals. She loves to spend time with her friends.
She has friends here who have celebrated their birthday already and others who haven’t yet. They will be celebrating later in the rotation.
Sage spends the rest of her party eating grilled cheese with her friends.
Well that’s the end of this visit to the Rivers-Edwards household. Next round they will be two separate houses (Edna and Marty) and each have a week to play and grow their stories.
