Family 1.9a: Francesca Banks

Francesca Banks took a job opportunity with the Professional Art Institute of Nationally Travelled Sims (PAINTS). She left the family behind to travel and paint. Francesca felt bad leaving Gary and Kalyn but this would be good for her career and give them money for Kalyn’s education.

She was given a small empty house to stay in when travelling but she suspects she’ll use it very little as she will be too involved in her paintings to stop.

*Note I used the pictures instead of the actual canvases for much of the pictures as the quality of paint from reference is not great and doesn’t look as good as it could.

Francesca first stop is Willow Creek, it’s heavily storming but that doesn’t stop her. She gets some amazing paintings with the snow falling. Let’s take a look at them.

Here’s the paintings from Willow Creek that Francesca provided the company to see on her behalf. They were so happy with her paintings. The company loved the beauty she saw, even with the snow.

Next they sent her to Oasis Springs, which is exactly the opposite of Willow Creek. No snow, a hot desert instead. It was a nice change for Francesca. Let’s take at her work from Oasis Springs…

Francesca loved painting the water and desert here in Oasis Springs. She wishes she could just stay there longer but she knows there are other places to visit.

Before finishing her paintings, Francesca takes a nap on a bench at the park. She found much inspiration at the park.

Time to move on.. Francesca finds herself in New Crest. There was so much going on in such a small area, the inspiration around was magical. She quickly finished ten paintings here in no time.

After all this Francesca was ready to move onto the next place. The company said she only needed to do a few paintings in this small downtown, Magnolia Promenade.

This turns out to be the first masterpiece! Francesca was happy that the company loved this painting so much.

She decided she needed to take a break and get a decent meal. She went to a local restaurant and spend time talking with Kalyn and Gary over chat. She misses them very much.

Next evening, the company sends her to Windenburg to create more masterpieces, if possible. She decides to start right away but it’s maybe too dark for decent paintings.

During her nighttime painting she created another masterpiece and perfected her painting skills.

In the morning she moves into town to do a few more paintings in the town centre.

Francesca tried to use the landscape and city landmarks in many of her paintings from Windenburg.

Here’s the pictures from Windenburg, the PAINTS Company was very happy and gave her a decent paycheck for this work.

Time was flying by on her trip and it was Winter Fun Day but she wasn’t able to celebrate too much being away from family. She didn’t even have a tree or decorations. She did manage to decide on a resolution – she wants to gain a new skill.

Francesca misses her family even more on a day like today. Luckily Father Winter arrived and gave her some company. She got a present from him which turned out to be a new computer! She was so grateful, now she could chat or video call Kalyn and Gary more often!

After Winter Fun Day was over, the PAINTS Company sent Francesca to San Manshuno to do some paintings of different areas of the city. She didn’t get to all areas but she did capture a few areas.

It’s snowing here as well, but not a blizzard so the paintings should turn out pretty good. Here’s a few of the shots from Uptown area that Francesca visited next.

Here’s the pictures from San Manshuno that were purchased by the PAINTS company. They are very happy with the progress and hope she can continue to make more.

Our time with Francesca is up for now. She has decided to work more for the PAINTS company and continue to make money for the family.

Well this is the end of Round 1 of my rotational game. Next we will head back to our first family, the Jensen’s and see how their story progresses.
